Position Overview:

This is a part-time position and an exciting opportunity to get real-world job experience with a start-up company.  Your role as our social media manager will focus on building Roady’s social media presence and executing social marketing and promotional strategies for the Roady app.  Through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, you will be responsible for driving the following outcomes:

  1. Expanding Roady brand awareness through effective and relevant content posts, commentary, and connections (e.g., securing followers)

  2. Increasing Roady app downloads through strategic marketing, promotion, and link placement

  3. Driving Roady adoption by actively demonstrating the value of Roady’s social calendar and group planning and coordination features through social content

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating high-quality, brand-relevant written and visual content for Roady’s social media platforms

  • Establish Roady’s consistent “voice” across social platforms

  • Expand Roady’s social media presence and brand awareness

  • Securing followers and building strategic connections (e.g., influencers) across social platforms

  • Create a comprehensive social calendar, tracking key dates and events to align social messaging schedule

  • Monitor Roady social platforms, analyzing for consumer insights and responding to user feedback and commentary 

  • Promote the Roady app by showcasing features and encouraging friends and acquaintances to coordinate their next get-together on Roady

  • Perform data analysis on key social metrics and report out to Roady leadership

 

Performance Measurements:

  • Meet established monthly/weekly Roady targets:

    • Followers secured

    • Posts

    • Views

    • Website visits

    • New user downloads

    • New active users   

  • Attendance on weekly calls with Roady leadership

 

Qualifications:

  • Social media marketing experience 

  • Experience developing a social media strategy

  • Experience working with and developing a marketing plan

  • Proven ability to build social media presence and following

  • Understanding of graphic design principles

  • Experience building a social media calendar and managing multiple social accounts

  • Understanding of how to measure success of social campaign and analyze data
